2019 Lamborghini Urus Seized in Joint Operation by EOCO, FBI, and US Justice Department
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has confirmed the lawful seizure of a 2019 Lamborghini Urus from the residence of renowned Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale.
The operation was conducted at Shatta Wale’s home in Trassaco Valley Phase 1, Accra, Ghana by EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) on August 5, 2025. This action was part of a coordinated international effort following a 2023 request from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of Justice concerning financial crimes linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, currently serving an 86-month sentence in the US.
EOCO disclosed that the Lamborghini Urus is believed to be one of the assets connected to Amuah’s criminal activities and was found in the possession of Shatta Wale during the search.
“The officers were professional and civil, and the search and seizure occurred without incident,” EOCO stated. “Nii Armah requested that the seizure not be made public, as the vehicle is a significant part of his brand.”
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., formerly known as Bandana, has built a prominent career as a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist and remains a widely recognized figure in the music industry.
