About the Summit

Looking back at 2015, the continuous growth in number and sophistication of cyber threats reminds us that no person or organization is immune to cyber attack.  No matter where your business is operated, what the nature of your business is, or how big or small your business is, the threat of cyber attack should not be underestimated.  Keeping abreast of cyber threats and understanding the best solutions to prevent and respond to cyber attacks are critical to your organization’s success.

Following on the successes of the Cyber Security Symposiums held in 2014 and 2015, the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) is honoured to partner with the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) to stage this summit, with the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) as the co-organizers, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) as the programme advisor, and the Innovation and Technology Bureau as the lead supporting organization. Our mission is to bring insights on the latest issues and trends in cyber security, and food for thoughts on how to mitigate the risk of cyber attack. Experts and industry leaders from law enforcement agencies and public and private sectors around the world will share their best practices in addressing the emerging challenges of cyber security. This year, the summit will also feature a series of workshops to provide hands-on experience on the technologies and techniques in dealing with investigation and mitigation of cyber attacks.
