Invention of the CUBE
In 2009 Mr. Coyne invented the CUBE Technology with the Rotterdam Rijnmond Police Force and in cooperation with LAUNCH. The developed a data reading tool; the CrashCube, to extract stored data (such as speed and breakdown data) from European and Asian cars which are not equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR).
The CrashCube is developed to image freeze frame data and specialized CAN bus data frames, that were sent at the time of a collision /event. This technique can be applied to image data from vehicle brands and makes built after 2006.
The project was re-developed by Launch Tech in partnership with INTERPOL since 2017.
