Digitpol Tracks and Recovers Stolen Kia Models in 2025, Including Kia EV6 in Germany
In 2025, Digitpol successfully tracked and recovered several stolen Kia vehicles worldwide, demonstrating the effectiveness of its advanced technology and global investigative network. Among these recoveries was an electric Kia EV6 stolen in the Netherlands and later tracked to Germany. This reflects a common modus operandi in which stolen Kia vehicles are moved across borders before being sold using fraudulent documentation or exported to Africa via shipping containers.
In this case, Digitpol’s advanced tracking systems and vehicle intelligence platform enabled investigators to locate the stolen Kia EV6 in Germany, where it had been fitted with fraudulent registration plates. The recovery was made possible through close cooperation between Politie Nederland (LX), the Dutch Vehicle Crime Insurance Bureau (VbV), and Digitpol’s AST team.
Throughout 2025, Digitpol’s sophisticated tracking capabilities have contributed to the recovery of numerous Kia models across Europe, including popular models such as the Kia Sportage and the Kia EV6. The company’s SMVIU platform, combined with real-time data analytics, continues to play a crucial role in combating organised vehicle theft.
These recoveries also highlight the importance of international cooperation, with law enforcement agencies and insurance partners working closely together to address cross-border vehicle crime.
Digitpol would also like to extend its sincere appreciation to the German Police (Polizei) for their swift and professional assistance in securing the vehicle.
