The International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI) was formed in 1952 in order to improve communication and coordination, among the growing family of professional auto theft investigators. It has become recognized as the peak industry body with members in over 60 countries. IAATI recognises that our most effective weapon to combat the vehicle crimes is cooperation.

The CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium (C2C-CC) is a nonprofit, industry driven organisation initiated by European vehicle manufacturers and supported by equipment suppliers, research organisations and other partners.

The C2C-CC is dedicated to the objective of further increasing road traffic safety and efficiency by means of cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) with Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication (V2V) supported by Vehicle-to-Infrastructure Communication (V2I).

Institute of Professional Investigators

For over 36 years, the Institute of Professional Investigators has sought to encourage and promote its members to achieve and maintain a high standard of professionalism whilst engaged in their investigative activities. Our organisation is the only “Institute” within the private investigation sector in the United Kingdom. We consider our membership to be truly representative of the investigation sector.


The International Police Association is an independent body made up of members of the police service, whether on active duty or retired, and without distinction as to rank, sex, race, colour, language or religion.  Its purpose is to create bonds of friendship and to promote international co-operation.
